Pot Painting

I don’t know painting or doing sketching on a pot. I tried it first time and the output is not so good. But still I enjoyed painting the pot and later some sketching on it.

I decided to paint the pot with some features signifying power and beauty of Goddess Parvati. At same time I thought it should also include symbol of God Shiva. Thus the whole picture that came in my mind was “Ardhanareeshwara” i.e. combination of Goddess Parvati and God Shiva.

First I painted the pot entirely white and later gave it different shades of red color signifying sari of Goddess Parvati. In between different layers of red shades I also included a layer of golden color. Later I sketched first half symbols of Goddess Parvati and other half signifying God Shiva. Inside the pot, I made design with spray painting in green color and neck of pot with red and gold color.
